The beginnings of Western philosophy

The beginnings of Western philosophy goes back to the time of the ancient Greeks and the period of the Pre-Socratics. There have been quite a number of thought-streams formed trough different time periods, and every different period, was marked by different thinkers. Philosophy always existed and it always will exist, because it is within us and influences our daily actions.
